3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
3.1 Dimensions. The double boilers shall be in the following sizes as shown in Table I. All dimensions (except capacity) are listed in inches.
3.2 Construction.
3.2.1 Pans. The double boilers shall be made from a type 3000 series aluminum alloy. The body of the pans shall be formed seamless from a single piece of aluminum and conform to the dimensions in Table I. The inner pan shall securely nest within the outer pan for cooking purposes.
