1. SCOPE.
1.1 Scope. This commercial item description (cid) covers aluminum baking abd roasting pans.
2. CLASSIFICATION
2.1 Classification. The baking and roasting pan shall be of the following sizes.

3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
3.1 Dimensions. The baking and roasting pans shall be available in the following sizes as shown in table I. All dimensions are shown in inches. Metric equivalents are listed in section 7. Thickness shall be measured at any point within the bottom of the pans except for an area to include the edge (corner) and up to 1 inch from the edge (corner).
3.2 Construction. The pans shall be formed seamless from a single piece of 3000 series aluminum alloy and shall be provided with handles except for the pans. Handles shall be of the drop-chest type and shall be securely attached to the pan body. Handles for the Size 1 and 2 pans shall have a minimum width of 3 inches and minimum diameter of 0.148 inch. Handles for the Size 3 pan shall have a minimum width of 4 inches and minimum diameter of 0.187 inch. Handles for the Size 4 and 5, and 8 pans shall have a minimum width of 4 inches and minimum diameter of 0.250 inch.
