COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
BOWLS, FOOD MIXING (STAINLESS STEEL)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this
Commercial Item Description in lieu of Federal Specification RR-B-1242.
This commercial item description covers stainless steel mixing bowls supplied individually or as a 3-piece set, as specified.
Class 1-
Size A- 3/4 quart capacity
Size B- 1-1/2 quart capacity
Size C- 3 quart capacity
Size D- 4 quart capacity
Size E- 5 quart capacity
Class 2-
A. Bowl set shall include one each of the class 1, size A, B, and D bowls.
Workmanship. The finished bowls shall be clean, well made, and free from any defect which may affect appearance or serviceability.
Certification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description, and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same product sold in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as maybe otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
Regulatory requirements. The manufacturer shall utilize recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable.
Packaging, packing, and marking. The bowls shall be packaged in accordance with normal commercial practice and packed in fiberboard boxes to assure acceptance by common carrier and provide product protection against loss and damage during multiple shipments, handling, and storage. The shipping container shall be in compliance with National Motor Freight Classification and Uniform Freight Classification. Shipping containers shall be marked as specified in the contractor order.
